This year we had something to really celebrate about. Our little boy is here and so far healthy. We were able to spend some time with Aidens Grandparents and Great Grandparents. We also attended the early mass Christmas Eve and Aiden did great. He is used to being in the church nursery, so mass was a new thing for him. After church we went back to Grandma and Grandpa Keerys and had Aiden open his presents. Uncle Brian and Daddy helped him with the paper and lifting a few of them. Aiden is now the proud owner of a red Radio Flyer Town and Country! After that we had a nice dinner and after the adults exchanged gifts. Christmas morning we packed up and headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Higgins house. Aiden had a great time there too. He received a truck full of Mega Blocks from Uncle Christopher and he loved them, along with much needed clothes and a snow suite. Aiden also got a fishing pole from Grandpa so he can join him fishing at the cabin this summer.
On the 26th it was Great Grandpa Russell's 90th birthday. We were able to enjoy cake and ice cream and way too much food. After the party was cleaned up we all loaded up and the caravan to the cabin began. We spent the week after Christmas there and had a great time at night. During the day we worked very hard to get things finished. The light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter. Only a few more doors to hang, some trim around windows and floor and the stone on the fireplace. I cannot believe we started this project almost 15 months ago and it is finally being enjoyed!
Mike and my Christmas gift is shown at the end. We were lucky to be able to have this, as it is much needed, anyone who has to travel with kids will know what we are talking about. Yes, the snow drifts were really that high. The plow that tried to clear the road was stuck in the middle of the road for almost 4 days. This picture was taken in Mishicot, WI.
