Memorial Day weekend

For the Memorial Day weekend we headed up to the cabin to hang out with family. We had a lot of people up there. All the Grand parents and Great Grandparents, Uncles and extended family. It was a blast. We went fishing on hour new dock, celebrated Aiden's 1st Birthday and ate(what else do you do with family besides eat!)

This is a pictures of a fish that swam by as we were fishing on the dock. The pictures do not do it justice. For reference the water is about 2.5 feet deep and this fish actually made its own wake as it swam by. I am thinking it is about 5 to 6 feet long.

A look down river from the end of the dock. We are glad we had this put in. We all love to fish and even Aiden loved being out there to sit on the bench.

We were able to celebrate Aiden's 1st Birthday on Sunday. The house was crowded but we all had a great time. Below is a picture of his cake I made. He got his own smash cake but once he started smashing it he didn't like that it didn't come off his hands, and to my surprise he didn't like eating the cake, oh well maybe next year. I cannot believe how much he has grown since the first time we have taken Aiden to the cabin. When Aiden first sat in the chair that Grandpa Tom made his feet didn't even go to the end. Now they are hanging off! Crazy....
